Spring Cleaning Made Easy with Essential Oils!

It’s that time of year! Windows are opening, fresh air circulating, flowers blooming, and it’s time to clear out from the long, cold winter.

Not only are we cleaning out our homes, but also we are cleaning out our bodies! (you know, beach, summer – right around the corner)

Here are a few quick tips on using essential oils to create safe, effective cleaning supplies for your home as well as a few cleanse tips for your other home – your body!

For you:
Lighten up Lemonade! – Seasonal cleanse
– 1 whole lemon
– 2 drops lemon essential oil
– 1 teaspoon turmericyoga-toni-300x300
– 1 teaspoon ground dry or 1” cube grated fresh ginger
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
– 1tsp honey, blackberry syrup or sweetener

Mix the above spices in a glass. Add 3 oz. hot water to dissolve. Smash or squeeze the lemons and add lemon oil. Add honey or sweetener to taste. Add spring water to fill 8oz glass.

Drink chilled or warm as a Detox beverage.

This is a great liver detoxifier and for Spring season of Liver-Gall Bladder.

*Ginger is highly valued in India, China, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean as a spice and for medicinal qualities. It has broad spectrum antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant and anti-parasitic attributes, and commonly used to treat nausea, loss of appetite and stomach upset.

*Turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and is a natural liver detoxifier.

*Cayenne – anti irritant, anti fungal and cold, anti allergen, digestive aid, detox, anti bacterial. It is helpful to the digestive system, and for the heart and circulatory system. It acts as a catalyst and is a high source of Vitamin A and C, has the complete B complexes, and is rich in organic calcium and potassium.

doTerra essential oil non-toxic cleaning products

Multipurpose cleaner (great for countertops, sinks, windows and more!):
– 2 1/2 cups white vinegar
– 1/2 cup water
– 20 drops On Guard
– 10 drops Lemon (or wild orange or citrus bliss)
– 5 drops melalueca

Freshen up your carpets:
– 2 cups of corn startch
– 20 drops of On Guard
– 10 drops of Melalueca
– 5 drops of lemon

*use glass containers to store your cleaning supplies.
